Karlin Rushbrooke was one of the first UK glass makers to set up their own studio after the introduction of small furnaces from the US to Britain in the late sixties. Besides making glass he is also a professional general builder. 1944 Born Bromsgrove, Worcs. 1964-68 Stourbridge College of Art and Design. Dip AD in Glass and ceramics. 1969 Set up first studio in Uckfield, Sussex. 1973-74 Teaching glass part time at Manchester Polytechnic. 1974 Relocated to Herefordshire. 1979-81 Teaching glass at Bristol Polytechnic. 1979-81 Chairman of British Artist in Glass.
