Emma Edelston started making mirrors twelve years ago. She had previously completed a foundation course at the West Sussex College of Art and Design in 1976 and moved to Brighton where she worked in the antiques trade and sang in a band. She has travelled extensively and has a particular fondness for South East Asia and its wealth of colours and handmade artefacts. But it wasn’t until she moved to St Ives in the early nineties that she started to create her own designs and where she now works from a studio, with her assistant Steve, overlooking the beautiful Porthminster beach.
